THE BRIEF
I was delighted to team up with Lake Arrowhead Brewing once again for the 2022 limited-edition crowler design. As my annual "anything goes" project, I wanted to branch out and try isometric illustration: a style I've only experimented with twice before.

ISOMETRIC ILLUSTRATION
Isometric illustration creates the illusion of 3D perspective using only 30-degree angles. The most challenging aspect of this style is that the human eye cannot see in this perspective: it is an entirely fictional angle that requires a lot of imagination and trial and error to achieve.
ICONOGRAPHY
From left to right:

COLOR PALETTE
Inspired by a Candy Land aesthetic, I wanted the cans to have a candy-cane palette. Ultimately we opted for a tonal illustration with only small pops of color on the holiday lights.
