THE BRIEF
Create a winter-themed botanical pattern, illustrated animal characters that tell the story of Beekman 1802's theme: Special Delivery.

DELIVERABLE #1:
Floral Spot Illustrations
I created a set of several dozen individual spot illustrations that could be combined in infinite ways: repeating patterns, bundles, wreaths. See the process and set highlights below:

DELIVERABLE #2:
Animal Character Illustrations
Animals were pertinent to the storytelling of the Special Delivery collection. To start, we developed the same animals in multiple illustration styles, a traditional line style along with whimsical swirled versions.
Ultimately, the characters were further developed. We incorporated a "Post Office" theme with the addition of mail bags, hats and envelopes. These animals playfully delivered special deliveries of letters and gifts and were seen throughout the collection.

DELIVERABLE #3:
Gift Illustrations
Lastly, I illustrated a set of small gifts that could be tucked into the floral pattern, in mail bags and across products.

Once combined, all elements became a complex, intricate monochrome pattern, printed on matte black with silver foil and topped with signature black bows.
